Thursday Thirteen
1. That my children share with me. I understand they need to build up immunities. *ahem* why do I? I already did that when I was in school. 2. The drippy nose 3. The hacking cough. Like #8, it usually happens at night. 4. The whhiiiiiiiiiiiiine of sick children. 5. Hearing "Mooooooommmmmmmm" a thousand times a day. 6. Getting sneezed on 7. Feeling like I should wipe down the whole world with Lysol wipes 8. Ear infections. Why do they always strike in the middle of the frigging night? 9. The debate on going to the doctor. Is it is just a virus, in which case they can do nothing? Or is that hacking cough something more? 10. Going to the doctor. We sit and wait forever. Not only do I worry about what my child is passing to all the babies and little ones in for checkups, I wonder what my child is going to come down with after being there. 11. Missing out on things. Had to miss a family get together and a party and one gymnastics practice. 12. I hate seeing my children and hubby sick. Feel bad because most of the time, there's nothing I can do. My youngest is a trooper and when she's sick, she perseveres on but you can look at her and know she's not feeling great. I hate that. 13. Not being able to take Nyquil and "die." That was my favorite way to deal. Sleep through it. But most of the time now, can't do that. |

Holds up flag of surrender
No Thursday Thirteen today.
We have a virus running amuck in the house. I haven't felt that great for a while. The youngest has been peaked and threw up on Sat. The oldest threw up today.
I still had hope I might get a Thursday Thirteen blog done even when I ceded my other author ego. LOL what was I thinking? Between one sick kidlet and one bored kidlet missing her playmate, I haven't been able to get to it.
We'll be back next week.

Thursday Thirteen
1. Writing is going too well. I'm participating in Seventy Days of Sweat, and having a blast. It was hard for me to stop writing today. 2. The cat walked across my keyboard, shutting down my computer *sigh*. 3. When I pushed said cat out of the way to get back to my keyboard, she scratched me and I BLED! 4. The dog literally begged for a walk. 5. The hubby was home. He distracted me. 6. The youngest BEGGED me to come to lunch at school with her. 7. After school, the same youngest built a fort. Under my desk. I couldn't get to it for several hours. 8. The oldest had homework to do. 9. I went office supply shopping. SHINY! 10. The hubby and kidlets made fudge. Yummmmmmmmy. 11. The youngest and I made cookies in a jar for her teacher. The youngest likes brown sugar, btw. Straight. 12. Someone had to grocery shop. We needed things to make said cookies in a jar and fudge. 13. The 15 jillion email in my inbox that needed an answer have now been joined by 15 jillion more. I think they are breeding! |

Thursday Thirteen
1. I'd rather be cold than too hot. If I'm cold I can always put something else on. If I'm too hot, well LOL it's hard to take off too much. 2. Snuggling. Nothing beats snuggling with my hubby on a cold night. *G* which usually warms me up really quickly. 3. Fuzzy socks. I love fuzzy warm socks. 4. The holidays. Yes, I associate Christmas with the cold. It puts me in a cheery mood when it's cold around around the holidays. 5. Hot chocolate or cocoa. With whipped cream on top. Yum. 6. Warm mulled apple cider. I recently bought my own muller to put the spices in. I can't wait to try it out. 7. Snow. Mel doesn't like snow, probably because she gets more than I do. LOL and what we get here doesn't usually stick around long. 8. Seeing your breath. LOL yes I revert to a kid when my breath makes "smoke." Playing dragons and all that. 9. Warm soft blankets. I love afgans and blankets that seem to caress your skin as they move across it. *sigh* 10. Warm baths. Nothing like a steamy hot bath on a cold day. Hot tubs would probably be wonderful, too. 11. Fires in the fireplace. Love to sit in front and watch a fire burn. 12. A snuggy cat. All summer long she stopped hanging out with me. Now that it's cold, her favorite place to snooze is by the laptop fan. 13. Gray skies. Something about a cloudy gray day that screams winter does something to my soul. |
