Thirteen Reasons I'm glad school starts on Tuesday by Lany of Melany Logen
1. They are bored being around the house. 2. They are very very very tired of being around each other. Fights are breaking out. "She's looking at me!" "She's touching me." "Stop that." Is very common. Usually followed by a bone jarring, "Mommmmmmmmmmmmmm!" 3. Somehow writing spicy scenes doesn't go well with them in the house. Them playing playdough at the kitchen table distracts me when I'm tring to write and them yelling "Mommmmmmmmmmm" really distracts me. 4. They are excited about going back to school. They actually enjoy it except for the early mornings. 5. We could use some routine. It's nice not to be on schedule for a while but it will be nice to get back to it. 6. The animals will appreciate the routine. They get antsy when they don't get fed like they usually do. They like when everyone gets up at the same time each day. 7. Did I mention the writing will go smoother when things are quieter? Trying to write the same blankety blank scene as yesterday and they are playing on Webkinz world. *sigh* It's not going well, one reason I'm doing Thursday Thirteen right now. 8. They miss their friends. 9. They'll appreciate days off more. 10. They will enjoy the challenges of the grade they are going in. 11. It will make me miss them. 12. It will take the littlest one's mind off her tonsils coming out. She should be fine by then anyway but the distraction of school will be a nice one. 13. I'll be able to write a scene without getting up twenty times to do things for them.

I home school my kids and though I enjoy most every second of it, I do miss that whole back to school first week and the house is yours again thing. :)
Mine love school but hate getting up for it, too. I'm not that fond of getting up early myself, but I sure like the peace and quiet after they're off. ;-)
