Thursday Thirteen
1. The time of Henry the VIII. All the wives and the espionage.
2. Revolutionary War time: All the great thinking and people who stood up for a cause. Washington. Jefferson. Thomas Paine.
3. Pre and Civil War time: Brother literally against brother at times.
4. Sparta: Come home with your shield or on it. Brutal but utterly fascinating.
5. Dinosaurs: Okay so human weren’t alive but who wouldn’t love to go back and watch them *G*?
6. Athens: Aristotle and Socrates. What great philosophers.
7. Jamestown’s founding: Yeah, yeah I live in Virginia and it’s the anniversary.
8. Roanoke Island: They founded a settlement and disappeared. I want to know what happened to Virginia Dare! Theories abound but I don’t think we’ll ever really know.
9. The wild west: The pioneers on the new frontier. Outlaws. The Gold Rush.
10. The time of the Cossacks and the Mongols in early Russia.
11. The time of Robert the Bruce and William Wallace. They worked for Scottish independence.
12. The time of Guttenberg and the first printing press. Books started to be printed. How exciting!
13. Vermeer’s lifetime. Girl with a Pearl Earring. His paintings are so eye catching. I’d love to see him in person.

Roanoke said no to the guy in King's Storm of the Century. "Born in Sin. Come on in." "Give me what I want and I'll go away."
Great list I'd travel to them all with you.
